Worshiper of ignorance, Milton Ribeiro is in jail

Milton Ribeiro’s arrest reveals a moral crisis in the government and ethical fragility in part of evangelical leadership.

Bolsonaro’s statement on Milton Ribeiro’s arrest that GloboNews is airing now is excellent. Presidential. He says, basically, that if the Federal Police arrested him, there must be a reason. But my reflection has little to do with that.

What a roasting that Ribeiro gave the image of the government and of pastors. I do not know him, I have taken little interest in the Education Ministry since Weintraub, I understood that these intellectual tragedies needed time to pass, like a fever.

Unlike most evangelicals I know, some of whom are leaders, these people around Ribeiro disgust me by their contempt for what is human. Messianic, self-appointed golden boys of creation, they fantasize that the religion they have covers the ignorance they live in and defend.

Still on these Ribeiro people, they are “ugly, weak and bleary-eyed” (Seraine, G., personal correspondence). I have never seen more ridiculous megalomania: in the churches, they hear that God will give them nations, that they will be recognized as servants of the Most High, that they will get rich. They are nothing but fools.

As for those new to the faith or small ones, we have before us a scandal that is hard to overcome. If the “more traditional church,” let us say, such as the Catholic, thinks of a way to go on for another two thousand years, what to say of these little neighborhood signs (storefront churches).
